Rice, a cornerstone of the Mising way of life, finds its expression in countless delicacies across the region. This experience centers around the age-old craft of making rice wine, locally known as Apong. Passed down through generations, the process of creating Apong is deeply rooted in the community’s traditions, using locally sourced ingredients and ancestral techniques.

10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Arrival at Jengraimukh village. Meet your guide and receive an introduction to the Mising community and their traditional wine-making practices.
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Participate in a hands-on wine-making session. Learn about the preparation, fermentation, and storage of Apong.
12:00 PM – 12:30 PM: Wine tasting session featuring different varieties of Apong, paired with local snacks.
12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: Leisure time to explore the village or interact with the local artisans.
(10am to 1pm is for representing hourly experience, however, this short escape can be started till up to 1:30pm)
