KOHORA RANGE OR CENTRAL SAFARI ZONE :

This range is the most popular and visited range in Kaziranga. It is located near the central entrance gate of the park. WILDLIFE : This range is known for its large population of one-horned rhinoceroses, wild elephants, tigers, wild water buffaloes, and swamp deer. BIRDS: Visitors can also spot various bird species, including the Bengal florican and hornbill.

BAGORI RANGE OR WESTERN SAFARI ZONE :

The Bagori Safari Range is located in the western part of the park and can be accessed through the Bagori entrance gate.

BIRDS: Visitors can spot various bird species, including the Rufous-necked Hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill, and White-cheeked Partridge.

MODE OF TRANSPORT & DURATION:

Note that the duration and mode of transport for the safaris may vary depending on the specific package chosen by visitors and the weather conditions. Typically, in all the Safari ranges, visitors can explore the range by jeep or on elephant back. Jeep safaris last for around 1-3 hours, while elephant safaris last for around 1 hour.
